Default What are some things I need to remember for going to a Japanese school? Any tips? Please click!!?

I'm going to try to get into a Japanese high school in 2010. I'm black and I'm still kinda shaky with the language, I know certain phases and songs because when I was younger, my parents thought we would have to move to Japan( my dad was in the Navy) and had me learn, but I'm taking Rosetta Stone to help. I'm planning to take up kyudo when I get up there, so I'll have stuff to do other then study and to de-stress, it looks relaxing. Are there certain aboard programs that are better than others? Any schools I should want or stay away from? Any important customs to remember? Any tips at all?!? Please answer, especially if you're an ex-exchange student!!

Japanese society is a society where you can't speak out fo much. So you should not express your opinion so much as you do in US.>Any schools I should want or stay away from? It varies from region to region.>Any important customs to remember?Well, do not tip in Japan.
