| What was your experience with a foreign exchange student like?
I've hosted students for 15 years. Of those, 13 have been great experiences, which I think is wonderful odds! One thing we learned, pick your program well! I highly recommend you stick to AFS, YFU or Rotary Exchange. Most of the rest don't have the support a host family will really need.A student should not be a guest in your home. He or she should be a family member, live within your rules, share in your fun and activity and, in general, be another kid.

Well, it was a great experience because the Japanese girl was very friendly and helpful and she loved to tell stories about her life in Japan.
