Default What hotel should I choose for my trip to NYC? (Under $300)?

I am going to be in New York City from September 25 - 27. I am looking for a good hotel to stay at for my short vacation. I want somewhere that is under $300 a night but has a good location (in Manhattan). Please don't give me any really cheap motels - I want to stay somewhere respectable. Thanks for the help!

I have two good Midtown options for you:The Roosevelt Hotel (1 blk from Grand Central Station)http://theroosevelthotel-px.trvlclick.com/The New Yorker Hotel (a few blocks from Penn Station)http://newyorkerhotel.com/index.htmlThese both appear on Travelzoo regularly for less than $200. http://www.travelzoo.com/ The Roosevelt is the nicer of the two and if you can get the deal with the buffet thrown in, its FANTASTIC.

there are plenty in your range. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

I got myself very good deals around 100% (3 stars hotel) with Priceline Name your own price in the past. But this ofcourse tricky as you never know where you will end up....To get an overview of all available hotels and their cheapest prices you can take a look at :http://www.hotels.beginbooking.com/City/New_York.htmThis site compares the rates from 30+ booking sites guaranteeing that you will get the best prices.Use the Review function to check feedback from other travelers.Good luck with your mission !
