Can I get the charges dropped if I can't afford a good lawyer and use a state lawyer instead? And if I can't what do you think the judge will do?I got caught with a bowl with resin and a grinder with resin and the cops pulled me over because I went into a park to make a uturn

I don't think you'll get them completely dropped but first offense you probably will get a lesser charge. Definately will get a fine and maybe probation.

Most likely you will be fined, and placed on probation. They will make you take a variety of classes too most likely.If they do not take your driver's license from you I recommend going to a different state, and getting a driver's license there.

Probation with deferred proceedings is possible for first offenders, you will also probably see 50-100 hours of community service.Any marijuana conviction results in the suspension of ones drivers license for a period of six months. However, you may request (and will probably get) a restricted license that allows you to drive to and from work/school. This is a Virginia mandatory thing even if you were no where near a vehicle when you were arrested/charged.GET A LAWYER, you may not qualify for a state lawyer. That is dependent on household income not your personal income level.
