There are possibly many different reasons. ill only list this one and link to my thesis on the Hispanic Immigration debate. (And yes, i do realize that immigrants come from all over the world ^_~)1) It is a way to distance oneself from an oppressed group. This could be advantageous in that perhaps one won't be associated with the oppressed group.

yea i know its horrible i think if people get hte chance to come to the usa then we should welcome them because we are such a diverse company

Its like highschool.....Freshman come and are picked on, but those same freshman grow to be seniors and pick on more freshman...its the way of life....Natural Selection I say, so let the Mexic....Hispanics pick on each other, and if YOU are a Hispanic...Go point and laugh at your fellow border hopp...I mean Immagrants

Let's face it - there IS a saturation point in most things and immigration, legal and sneaky,is one of them.What you cite is bad, especially if they are here legally like you and your family. Too bad, isn't it, that a moratorium can't be declared on EVERYBODY who is altready here and a concerted effort be made to put a halt to the influx of ever more illegals who are a detriment to all legal visitors and citizens of this country.Moratorium, not amnesty which would be grossly unfair to the hordes trying for entry legally , but a temporary, crisis-driven moratorium on Round-ups...'til the borders are secure.

Are you talking about the "new comers" who have come here illegally? That's what everyone who comes here these days is - An illegal. So it's no wonder that the immigrants who have come here legally give them the cold shoulder. Should we have a party for all these illegals who come here? NO.
